Parenting Program

 

Strengthening Families, Strengthening Communities is a parenting programme aimed at parents and carers to promote and support positive child/parent relationships.

 

The aim is to support parents with their concerns and assist them in developing mechanisms to work with children in a positive and non-confrontational way.

 

The programme runs once a week for 13 weeks- each session is 3 hours long. Parents are also given the opportunity to raise and discuss their own specific issues with the gorup and look at individual problems that may be experienced.

 

Where are courses delivered?

Courses can be delivered in a venue of your choice. Currently, the programme is running in a number of mainstream and special schools-both primary and secondary-but the course can also be delivered in venues used by community groups, faith groups, as well as housing, health and local authority venues.

 

Courses can be delivered in any venue within Enfield, Haringey, Waltham Forest and Barnet and in Sout Hertfordshire/Essex borders with Enfield.

 

Programme Fees

The fees for the programme delivery by two trainers are:

£200 per session with an administrative fee of 10% for all courses run.

 

Although the standard course is 13 weeks, it is also possible to deiver bespoke training covering specific issues over a reduced period.

Course books for paricipants are available at a cost of £12 per book/participant.
